Aggressive carbon cilia louvres, a adventurous agent agenda and the arduous acceleration of the affair are all that's bare to analyze the Aston Martin V12 Vantage from its V8 sister, but acutely the super-coupe is alone destined for showrooms alfresco the U.S. Why? Allegedly the car’s low volumes, accepted to be 1,000 units all up, agency it’s too big-ticket to absolve designing it to accommodated boxy U.S. blast assurance laws. However, according to MotorTrend, Aston Martin is yet to aphorism out the car for U.S. auction and with an accessible top Roadster on its way things may change. If appeal is able abundant and the business case supports it, Aston Martin is accommodating to advertise the car in U.S. showrooms but how continued that may booty is still up in the air.
One of the better hurdles is the front-end commuter assurance of the car. Shoehorning the DBS’ 510hp (380kW) 6.0L V12 agent into the bunched agent bay of the Vantage has eaten abroad at amplitude usually aloof for crumple zones and banal blast aegis requirements. The car is additionally accessible alone with carbon-fiber carapace seats and this allegedly fails to accommodated U.S. assurance regulations as well.
